At the lovely Gamble Garden in Palo Alto, UCCE Master Gardeners are available on Friday afternoons from February through November to answer urban gardening questions. The public is welcome to contact us by phone or to visit in person to consult with a certified Master Gardener on plant problems and bring plant samples for diagnosis. Insect problems, pest identification, and safe pest control, as well as plant diseases and modern and non-toxic plant disease controls are just some of the issues we can help you with.
Master Gardeners also present free monthly talks on seasonal gardening topics in our Second Saturday Garden Talk series. The talks are held on the second Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., in the main house library. Past topics have included Oak Tree Landscaping, Seed Starting, Veggie Gardens, Organic Rose Gardens, and many more. No reservations needed.
Whether you come to consult the Hotline/Plant Clinic or attend a Second Saturday talk, be sure to leave plenty of time afterwards so that you can stroll through the beautiful gardens at Gamble where something is always in bloom!
