The California Master Gardener Handbook is an invaluable reference tool for retail nursery staff, horticultural advisors, and all California gardeners. At over 700 pages, no other California gardening guide contains this depth of information. Covers soil, fertilizer, and water management; plant propagation; weeds and pests; home vegetable gardening; and specific garden crops. These crop chapters provide helpful information on selecting varieties, planting, growth cycles, pruning, irrigation, and harvesting. Nutritional composition data are provided for most of the edible crops covered in the Handbook.
